Přerov local television broadcast in July a report on the dispatch of ball mill parts to Canada

An oversize cargo from PSP Machinery, which is an enterprise having its seat in former Přerovské strojírny Přerov, is going to travel to Canada today. Each of the three parts of the plant weighs around 30 tons and the production takes about half a year.

"These are parts of a ball mill which will then be moved to the Czech inland port of Mělník to be transshipped and forwarded to the port of Hamburg. The components will be transported to Canada to be installed and used in the copper mine," said Pavel Kořístka, the project manager of PSP Machinery.

Similarly sized components of various devices leave the Přerov factory approximately once a month. "Of course, these parts are not the largest ones. Transport conditions are limiting factors, nevertheless we have already shipped parts of eight meters in diameter and six meters in height. In fact it depends on the customer's design and use in mines," added Pavel Kořístka.

Each of the three mill pieces has 6 meters in diameter. Due to the size of the railway underpasses such excessive cargo cannot go through Přerov and therefore leaves the factory in the direction of Bochoř and Chropyň to reach the highway near Kroměříž.
